The problem wasn't the peaks; it was the consistency. Their testers recorded swings of more than 30 Mbps between back-to-back tests on the same server, with latency spikes that grew worse as server distance increased. By the time they reached far-flung locations like Australia, download speeds were fluctuating wildly between consecutive runs — behavior they didn't see in the control VPNs tested alongside it.
Apps and Ease of Use
IceVPN officially covers four platforms — Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS — with 5 simultaneous connections per account. There's no Linux support, no smart TV apps, no browser extensions, and no router setup, which puts it well behind the coverage you get from Nord or Surfshark.
